BR Duchess in Blue

Aster Hobbies (UK) are pleased to announce the arrival (at Last) of the Ex LMS Princees Coronation class (Duchess) in early BR Blue.

Kits are available from stock at £4000.00 and a very few factory built will be available shortly at £5000.00. Sorry factory built are now sold out.  So far one kit has been assembled and I am advised that there are no particular issues with kit construction – everything fits together well! Certainly then finished loco runs powerfully and I hope to post a YouTube video in the next day or two.

SPECIFICATION

Scale: 1/32 for Gauge One track (45mm). Total weight:  6.2 kg. Length O.B. 711 mm, width  89mm, height 126 mm.  Driving wheels 64 mm, Pilot wheels 28 mm, Trailing truck 380 mm. Tender wheels 40.5mm.

4 Cylinders with slide valves bore 11mm x Stoke 22mm. Walschaert valvegear with rocking levers for drive to inside cylinders. Reversible from cab. Boiler: “C” Type. Water capacity: 250 ml @ 70% full. Working pressure 3.5 – 4.0 bar. Boiler fittings: 2 x Safety valves. Water gauge with blowdown, Pressure gauge, Blower valve, Regulator valve, Clack valve and Superheater.   Axle driven pump and displacement lubricator with pressuriser. Tender with hand water pump. Water capacity 250ml. Fuel capacity 200ml. Minimum radius curves 2.0 metres. Limited Edition of 100 pieces for Worldwide distribution.
